The Volunteer of the Year Awards returns

10 May 2021

Celebrate our COVID19 volunteer heroes

Volunteer of the year Awards

In a year like no other, the impact of COVID19 has shown just how valuable volunteers are, from supporting the NHS, to foodbank donations and helping neighbours.

Celebrate the incredible achievements of our staff, students and alumni by tuning into our Volunteer of the Year Awards on the UoMVolunteering Facebook page this Wednesday, 12 May (1-2pm).

The awards give our University and community partners the opportunity to recognise those who epitomise what it means to make a difference. As well as recognising volunteers, the ceremony will also announce the winners of our annual Social Justice Photography Competition.

Last year’s winners included projects where volunteers expanded a sustainability shop business; assisted students in a night time safety initiative; delivered youth programmes nationally and internationally, and ran sessions to young people in Manchester with charity Sexpression: UK.

Set a reminder by registering on eventbrite and see the full list of 2021 nominees.
