Governance review - we want your feedback

Attend a virtual discussion group or share your comments

We recently shared details of our Governance Review, with the University commissioning Halpin Partnership, an external consultancy firm, to assess the overall effectiveness of governance.

We are running a consultation period with colleagues until the end of May and we would very much welcome your feedback.

You can attend a virtual discussion group, or share your comments by email:

  • Virtual Discussion Group sessions for members of Senate, staff and students will be held in May on the following dates:

    Monday 17 May - 3-4pm
    Tuesday 18 May - 11.30-12.30pm
    Thursday 20 May - 10.30-11.30am
    Friday 21 May - 10.30-11.30am

    If you would like to attend, please send your name and preferred session to Note: spaces will be limited so we please only book a session if you intend to attend.
  • Survey – A short survey has been published and is open for all staff members to respond. The closing date has been extended until Friday 14 May and the survey is available here
  • Share your comments - If you would prefer to send comments regarding the University’s governance arrangements to the Halpin Review team via email, please do so at

Please note, all comments are confidential to the Halpin Review team. We will record the names of interviewees and focus group attendees for the purposes of scheduling. Any comments included in our final reports will not be attributed to any individuals.
