Could you be a Flexible Working Champion?

12 Apr 2021

You could help co-create the future of work at our University

Flexible working

As you may have seen from Patrick Hackett’s recent blog post, we are currently looking at future ways of working at the University.  This includes our approach to hybrid working; staff working some of their time on campus and some remotely.  These ways of working are new to us, and we will be learning and developing our approach on an ongoing basis.

To support our activity we want to create an internal team of Flexible Working Champions. They will help to look at our approach to flexible working at our University, with a particular focus this year on hybrid working.  Are you interested in helping to co-create the future of work at Manchester?

Flexible Working Champions will need to:

  • Commit to the role until at least the end of 2021.  Time commitments will vary but you may need to spend 1-2 hours a week on the role.
  • Attend training on supporting flexible and hybrid working and our hybrid working toolkit.
  • Actively support teams in their area / department on discussing hybrid working, and helping them to establish their own local principles for communication and effective team working.

  • Please discuss this opportunity with your manager prior to applying.
