Cris and Tyrrell take on the magical and untamed Africa MTB race

In the last week of March 2007 team mates Crispin Bloomfield and Tyrrell Basson from STARS IT Services are taking on the world's top mountain bikers. As participants in the Cape Epic stage race, they are going to be racing against 500 other teams in the South African heat over a distance of 900km, climbing over 16,000m (Mt Everest is 8,848m) in eight days.

Given this is a big target for anyone who is not a full time sponsored professional rider, they are trying to raise publicity for a good cause. Please dig deep and sponsor them in their efforts to raise money on behalf of the CF Trust. The Cystic Fibrosis Trust funds research into a cure for Cystic Fibrosis, the UK's most common life-threatening inherited disease. You can contribute to their fundraising efforts online by visiting:

Donating through this site is simple, fast and secure. The CF Trust will receive your money quickly and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please sponsor and support their efforts now! A report of the race and their experiences will feature in the leading UK mountain bike magazine Singletrack later in the year.
