Take part in our monthly Virtual Purple Wave challenges

From February to May there will be various monthly challenges that you can do in your own time and set goals to keep you physically active

Be active

You may even want to purchase a T-shirt and get your monthly iron on badge (£5 per month or £15 for all 4 months on completion of your VPW challenge).

Here is what you can do during the month of February to complete the first monthly VPW challenge, ideally you should complete at least three out of the four challenges.

SPEED CHALLENGE

Cover 5km in the fastest time possible on foot.

Keep practicing throughout the month to see if you can reduce your overall time

DISTANCE CHALLENGE ON FOOT

Accumulator to cover as much distance as possible on foot.

Run, walk or jog (a treadmill can be used)

DISTANCE CHALLENGE BIKE

Accumulator to cover as much distance as possible a moving or static bike

AT HOME CHALLENGE

Completing squats each day in the month

Beginner 5k in 45 minutes or under 10km  20km 50 squats per day
Intermediate 5k in 35 minutes or under 50km 80km 100 squats per day
Advanced 5k in 25 minutes or under 80km 100km 200 squats per day
