Microsoft Teams on managed computers

29 Sep 2020

The latest version of Microsoft Teams will be installed on all University managed computers (Windows 7 and 10) from 8pm this evening

Due to the number of computers in scope, the software will be rolled out in batches. The installation file will be ‘pushed’ to your University computer overnight between 8pm and 8am (BST) on either Tuesday 29 September, Wednesday 30 September, Thursday 1 October or Friday 2 October. It will then automatically install the next time you connect with the GlobalProtect VPN.

If you already have Teams on your University computer, the installer will make sure that you have the latest version.

Teams will be unavailable on your University computer for a few minutes while the installation takes place. Once you have the latest version, all future updates will be done automatically.

Access to Teams via a non-managed computer, on a device such as a mobile phone, or through a web browser, will not be affected.
