Digital developments to support our applicants and offer holders

Following the suspension of all face-to-face conversion events due to COVID-19, a group of colleagues from across the University has been convened to look at enhancing our digital presence for undergraduate applicants and offer holders

This piece of work sits within the wider, newly-developed undergraduate recruitment and conversion strategy, which colleagues are working towards at this time.

The Development of Recruitment and Conversion Content Group’s (DORCC) remit ranges from updated landing pages signposting to richer content and funnelling audiences to the appropriate place, through to showcasing a series of webinars and a virtual open week taking place in June. This activity will also be supported by internal and external communications plans that will include social media and e-newsletters.

As part of this project, a new landing page has been developed to target UG offer holders for 2020 entry. The page brings together essential information for offer holders ahead of the UCAS decision deadline (18 June). The objectives of the page are to drive offer holders to accept their offer and reassure offer accepts of their decision to study here. Subject-specific conversion landing pages will follow in the coming weeks, as well as a page specifically for applicants, pre-acceptance of their offer.

The landing page went live on Wednesday, 6 May, and is signposted to from key sections of the corporate site including the homepage, mega-menu, study and international sections.
