Changes to Car Parks Access Systems

11 Mar 2020

Following the implementation of a new car parks management system in 2017, University car parks have been operating two access systems to Car Parks A, D, E and F (Charles Street, Booth Street West, Cecil Street and Dilworth Street)

For the past nine months the Car Parks Office have been contacting permit holders to arrange transfer of their access from the old system to the new, which requires the permit holder to bring their card to the Car Parks Office to be set up on the new system (something which cannot be done remotely).

As the majority of permit holders at Booth Street West and Charles Street have now been contacted and transferred over to the new system, the old access readers have been turned off. If you use either of these car parks and find you cannot gain access with the old reader and have not visited the Car Parks Office to be transferred over, please visit the Car Parks Office with your card.

We will now be contacting permit holders who park at Cecil Street and Dilworth Street to arrange transfer to the new system and will set a date for the old readers to be turned off once all users have been contacted.

The Car Parks Office is located in Room G.002 Beyer Building and is open between 9.30-12.30/1.30-3.00 Monday to Friday.
