Transform a child's life by donating a book this Easter

02 Mar 2020

Wood Street Mission are collecting book donations for children this Easter

Book appeal

Previously, the Wood Street Mission has asked for donations of Easter eggs as presents for children at Easter.

However, as last year, in keeping with their focus of improving children’s life chances they will, from now on, focus on books for children, supporting literacy and education.   This is a new chapter for them and to this end they are asking now for donations of new children’s books suitable for children from babies to age 16.  Any books received by the Wood Street Mission will be distributed to children they support via their cchool holiday book clubs and roadshows.

Wood Street Mission will continue to welcome donations of good quality pre-loved books the rest of the year.

If you wish to make any individual or group donations please let Muriel Shingler know so that she can arrange for any books to be collected and delivered to Goods Receiving Sackville Street Building. The closing date for book donations is Wednesday, 1 April.

  • If you need any further information on the Wood Street Mission's work, please do not hesitate to contact Muriel Shingler
