Take part in our art competition to mark Rare Disease Day – and see your work at The Whitworth! Closing date this Friday (21 February)

Are you a Rare talent? The take part in our art competition to mark Rare Disease Day.

Organised by Dr Fiona Ulph in our School of Health Sciences, along with other University staff and hospital staff, it’s open to people from three age groups: 6-12, 13-16 and 17-25 years old.

The closing date is Friday, 21 February.

Entrants must create an A4 size drawing, painting or photo that shows us what rare means to you.  It could be a place, an object, an animal or anything that you associate with RARE.  Be as creative as you like!

All participants entering the competition will have their work showcased on a projected screen in the Great Hall of The Whitworth art gallery on Rare Disease Day, Saturday, 29 February.

The overall winner in each age group will receive a gift voucher for £50, presented in person by the artist judge.
