World Cancer Day - Tuesday 4 February

31 Jan 2020

Join us for an afternoon of discussion, discovery and networking at the Oglesby Cancer Research Building, 1pm - 6pm

The Division of Cancer Sciences invites you to be part of World Cancer Day in Manchester, and join them at the Oglesby Cancer Research Building for an afternoon of discussion, discovery and networking.

Every year, on 4 February, World Cancer Day is marked to raise global awareness, improve education and inspire and encourage personal, collective and government action to help millions of preventable cancer deaths and improve access to life-saving cancer treatment and care for all.

This year the theme for World Cancer Day is I Am and I Will.  Its focus is on individuals’ commitment to act. What will you do?

There is an exciting programme of talks planned, centred on some of the key challenges facing cancer researchers: detecting cancer sooner and embracing our diversity to better understand and develop personalised medicine and treatments.
