Engagement@Manchester: Creating accessible STEM outreach activities

28 Jan 2020

Creating science that is accessible and engaging for young people with sensory impairments

Creating accessible STEM

In the last few years, a number of projects in FSE have been aimed at making science accessible and engaging for young people with sensory impairments.

Come along to this interactive session on Wednesday, 19 February at 1pm to find out about the outcomes and learnings from these activities, get hands-on with some of the tactile resources that have been developed, and learn how you can get involved with some accessible science shows planned for summer 2020.

Robyn Watson, a teacher of visually impaired and hearing impaired children, will present on how to develop and adapt engagement activities for this audience. Open to all staff and students, the event is not limited to STEM disciplines.

The venue is 2.4 in the Roscoe Building
