Hearing Dogs on Giving Tuesday

03 Dec 2019

After Black Friday and & Cyber Monday, why not celebrate Giving Tuesday - the movement dedicated to giving back!

Volunteers with Hearing Dog

GivingTuesday on Tuesday 3rd December is a global day to give time, money or skills to support good causes and our local communities.

Many of you who attended the Staff Fair yesterday got to meet the adorable Hearing Dogs Hunter and Jessie. Jessie will be returning on Giving Tuesday with her owner Christine who will give a short talk followed by a short demo of Jessie’s amazing support skills. Following this there will be a short Q&A.

The event will take place at 12 noon in the Moseley Lecture Theatre, Schuster Building, Brunswick Street. See Building 54 on the campus map.

To book on this event just follow the Eventbrite link. If you were inspired to sponsor a Hearing Dog - today is #BlackLabFriday - sponsor one puppy and get another sponsorship for free!

Across the north and south campus there will be plenty of other events to mark Giving Tuesday.

·         Swap Shop and Bake Sale (Drop in – North Campus)

·         Headstart CPR training (bookable – North Campus)

·         A talk by Depaul - a local charity on Oxford Road for homeless young people (Book via Eventbrite
