Imaging and Visualisation Innovation Community Meeting

18 Oct 2019

Taking place on Monday, 28 October from 11:30 am - 2:30 pm

Innovation

The Research Lifecycle Programme would like to invite current users and interested researchers to a lunch meeting to discuss the wide-ranging uses of imaging and visualisation in research across the University, providing an excellent networking opportunity.

The idea of the Innovation Communities is to share experiences and common interests and discuss ways in which we can work better together to use available resources and generate an inclusive community that can collaborate internally and apply for research funding collectively. The intention of this Innovation Community meeting is to bring together researchers and staff with an interest in Imaging and Visualisation across the University. The meeting will include short research presentations, a networking lunch and group discussion on how to better foster cross-faculty collaboration and build a community.

The following presentations are currently planned for the meeting but please get in touch if you would like to present as there is space for more:

  • Imaging Life on Earth, Phil Manning, DEES, FSE
  • Medical and Biological Image Analysis, Timothy Cootes, FMBH
  • Immersive Visualisation and Observation Facilities at the Data Visualisation Observatory, Nikolay Mehandjiev, AMBS, FHUM

This Innovation Community Meeting will be on Monday, 28 October (11:30 am - 2:30 pm) in room 3.44B in the Simon Building.
