Irene Manton Lecture

11 Oct 2019

All staff and students are invited to attend the Irene Manton Lecture

Irene Manton Lecture

The Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health is delighted to co-host the Irene Manton lecture once again with The Linnean Society. The lecture will take place 5-7.30pm on Thursday, 5 December 2019 at the John Rylands Library.

The lecture will be delivered by Jan Bradley, Professor of Parasitology from the University of Nottingham within the surroundings of the University’s historical John Rylands Library.

Entitled ‘From man to mouse: how we have evolved with parasites’ Jan will highlight how we as humans have evolved with parasites over the years.

Now in its fifth year, this lecture is run in partnership with the Linnean Society. The lecture celebrates the significant contribution made by women to the Natural Sciences and aims to inspire and inform everyone in contemporary biology and botany. This is a free public event and is open to everyone with sixth form students particularly welcome.

Please register on Eventbrite by Friday, 22 November.
