Attend an afternoon of dialogue and critical thinking

23 Jul 2019

Commemorate 200 years since Peterloo by celebrating women in political activism

Women, Politics and Power

Join Manchester Histories in partnership with the British Council to mark 200 years since Peterloo by celebrating women in politics and political activism on Wednesday, 7 August at the Manchester Art Gallery, from 1:00pm – 4:00pm.

Meet grassroots activists, campaigners and women in politics for an afternoon of dialogue and critical thinking. Connect, learn, listen to change-makers young and old, and ‘Get Together and Get Things Done'. You'll help formulate ideas about creating a ‘gender-sensitive’ political and citizenship education, inspire shared learning to challenge gender stereotypes and engage in political participation and activism.
