Take a bite out of climate change

03 Jul 2019

Learn how to tackle climate change from your own home at the Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition

Take a bite

This week (1-7 July 2019) a team of academic and PS staff, led by the University of Manchester, have been showcasing research from the N8 Agrifood and STFC Food Network+’s at the Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition.

The Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition is the UK's annual display of its most cutting edge science and technology. Through hands on demonstrations and games the ‘Take a bite out of climate change’ exhibit aims to raise awareness of the innovative ways that science is transforming food production, including vertical and precision farming techniques, tools to measure soil emissions and improvements in supply chain efficiency.

It is also challenging visitors to think about their own food choices and how they can reduce their own environmental impact.

If you can’t make it to the exhibition, you can follow what’s going on via social media using the hashtag #takeabitecc. The team will also be taking the stand to BlueDot (Science Field) at Jodrell Bank in July.
