Wellbeing update July
01 Jul 2019
July and August are the months we promote Learn and Discover, one of the University’s Six Ways to Wellbeing.
This is to encourage you to make time to try something new or rediscover an old interest. Learning new things will make you more confident; inspire you, as well as being fun.
On campus there are various courses to try for your health and wellbeing, distance learning courses, green spaces to discover and the University’s Tree Trail. Outside of work the warmer weather can give you opportunities to discover new places!
Our wellbeing lectures have now ended for this academic year, but the staff wellbeing website has a detailed calendar from July onwards that gives you the full details of opportunities and relevant booking information.
Wellbeing highlights for July
3rd July - Monthly cycle breakfast - All staff from the University of Manchester (UoM), Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU), Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT), Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM), Manchester Science Partnerships (MSP) and Home Mcr are all welcome to join a free cyclists’ breakfast at a location on the Oxford Road Corridor, every first Wednesday of the month. Commute by bike and then come along for breakfast, receive the latest news and meet fellow cyclists.
