Manchester ranked third best UK student city

The annual QS Best Student Cities league table report assesses almost 500 cities in the world and creates a list of the top 100 for students

Each city has been analysed across six factors: university rankings, student mix (proportion of the student population from abroad), desirability (safety of the area), employer activity (if employers want to recruit graduates from that city), affordability and student satisfaction - based on a survey of 500,000 students from December 2016 to April 2018.

Manchester was ranked behind Edinburgh, with London taking the top spot in the UK.
