Entrepreneurs@Manchester is a series of events which brings some of the UK’s foremost entrepreneurs to the University to share the inspirational lessons they have learned in building their businesses

This event welcomes Piers Linney, who is well known for his television appearances as an investor on ‘Dragons’ Den’ and ‘The Secret Millionaire’, and he also has a professional background in law, investment banking and fund management. He has personal and professional experience on all sides of the table as an entrepreneur, adviser, executive or non-executive board member, investor and lender.

Piers is a non-executive director of British Business Bank, the UK's government-owned development bank that has facilitated over £12 billion of financing to improve small and medium-sized business access to debt and equity finance. British Patient Capital was launched in June 2018 to invest a further £2.5bn.

He is listed at #19 on the Financial Times top 100 Ethnic Minority Executives (2018).

In recent years Piers has used his profile, experience and knowledge to champion entrepreneurs and SMEs and is a passionate believer in the importance of SMEs to the success of the UK economy.
