Sign up – managing information in Outlook and shared drives

The Information Governance Office are holding training sessions on the management of information in Outlook and shared drives

All colleagues are invited to attend training sessions, held by the Information Governance Office (IGO), about the management of information in Outlook and on shared drives on Thursday, 7 March.

The sessions will concentrate on information governance and in particular how to:

1. Apply retention policies to this data

2. Identify data which can and should be deleted 

3. Structure data to make it accessible

The University holds large amounts of data within the email system and on shared drives. Much of this information is unstructured, unindexed or out of date. This information constitutes a risk to the University as it may include sensitive personal data, important intellectual property and confidential material.
