Young Governors Network meeting – supporting and encouraging young school governors

The Young Governors Network (YGN) supports and encourages those aged under 40 to govern in schools by facilitating them to share their experiences, addressing the unique challenges they face and creating sustainable connections amongst current and prospective governors.

YGN is holding a meeting in Manchester at Etc Venues on Friday, 1 March 2019 from 6pm to 8pm. If you are a currently a school governor aged under 40, you can sign up to meet and share experiences with other young governors locally. If you are not a school governor but are interested in finding out from other young people about the role, you can sign up to do so.

The meeting will provide plenty of time to network and the YGN team will be facilitating a discussion on ‘balancing support and challenge’. Attendees will gain valuable ideas and insight to use in their role as a governor and contribute to their own professional development, as well as forging relationships with other young governors in the area.
