Get involved with this year's Community Festival

15 Jan 2019

If you haven’t already signed up then there’s still time to get involved in the 2019 Community Festival

Community Festival

Following the huge success of the last two Festivals, we are looking for staff and students to offer an activity at our 2019 Community Festival on Saturday, 15 June.

As part of our commitment to enhancing our relationship with members of our local communities, we are holding this annual University-wide Community Festival. Last year over 2,000 visitors came along to find out more about our work, have fun and try out some of our activities. When asked what they thought of the day many mentioned having fun, being inspired and enjoying a brilliant family day out.

The Festival will take place from 11am-4pm centred round the Manchester Museum, University Place and Bridgeford Street.

From family-friendly table top activities to guided tours and musical performances, we are looking for expressions of interest for those wishing to get involved.

The Festival aims to enhance our engagement with our local neighbouring communities by running a free, fun and interactive pan-University event that appeals to individuals and families and provides opportunities for them to engage with a variety of University activities e.g. research, learning, sport, cultural institutions and our students.

If you are interested in taking part, then please register your interest by completing the expression of interest form by 18 January 2019 and return it to suzanne.spicer@manchester.ac.uk

We look forward to seeing you in June.
