Stellify and Giving Tuesday

23 Nov 2017

Perfect time to inspire and encourage students to do more and be more

Stellify

With Giving Tuesday (Tuesday, 28 November) just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to inspire and encourage students to get involved and to think a little differently about how they can do more and be more.

One of the main strands of Stellify is to make a difference – whether that’s by students volunteering their time or by contributing to the world. At this year’s Giving Tuesday events on campus, there will be lots of opportunities and the chance for students and staff to discover new ways of giving.

Up on north campus, you can visit the Making a Difference Fair in the Renold Building (12.00 – 2.00pm), and discover how you can be involved with inspirational organisations and projects.

The Making a Difference Fair will have a whole host of stalls where you can find out more about various volunteering, fundraising and outreach initiatives including PASS and Peer Mentoring, ReachOut, Student Action, RAG to RoboGals and volunteering abroad. Some of these key projects could also help students work towards the Manchester Leadership Award and inspire them to make their impact on the world by giving some of their time.

Giving Tuesday is the perfect chance for students to look beyond their degree, meet new people and to get the most out of life at Manchester by getting involved with these fantastic opportunities. Please encourage our students to visit one of our #GivingTuesday events and why not go along yourself and find out more.
