The Daily Mail has published an article on fundraising across the sector

On Monday, 20 November, The Daily Mail published an article on fundraising across the sector, with particular reference to how some universities carry out wealth screening of actual or prospective donors. The article primarily focused on Russell Group institutions including The University of Manchester.

The University takes its data protection obligations very seriously, and we believe that we have always acted both within the law and in accordance with guidance available at the time. We have also taken steps to make it even clearer to our alumni and donors how and why their data is used.
