Teaching and Learning in Promotions: training for new criteria

07 Nov 2017

A short interactive ‘lunch and learn’ session in the Staff Learning & Development Rooms in Roscoe Building, giving you the opportunity to learn more and raise any questions

The sessions are aimed at:

  • Staff involved in a promotion committee, at School or Faculty level

and/or;

  • People who support staff going for promotion where teaching forms part of their case.

In case you are new, or were unable to attend earlier in the year, we are offering the chance to attend this session on the new criteria for teaching promotions which have been accepted by Senate and are now rolled out in Faculties.

Kersti Börjars (Associate Vice-President, Teaching, Learning and Students) will be running the session, supported by various experienced promotions committee members from the Faculties.

Feedback from previous sessions has been very positive.

“I definitely think I will better be able to support candidates after having attended the course.”

“I previously did not understand that you do not need to have a publication or other external activity for teaching-focussed promotions to Senior Lecturer.”

The session will run on 6th December, for more information and to register:
