Be a Science Star at Science Spectacular 2017

04 Oct 2017

The Manchester Science Festival is coming and we're playing host to our annual family science fun day: Science Spectacular!

Last year's Science Spectacular

Join our scientists for a fun-filled day of challenges, experiments, and interactive demonstrations. Explore the science of bubbles, dance with robots, get hands-on with bugs, and fungi and land yourself some moon rock. With more than 40 interactive science activities on offer, it really is an event for all the family. What’s more, you’ll also get to chat with the amazing scientists and engineers behind some of the world’s greatest discoveries.

There will be all sorts of activities suitable for children of all ages, including face painting and lucky science dips, and there’s plenty to keep adults entertained too. Be sure to look for our for science buskers along Oxford Rd who will be on hand to welcome, entertain, and inspire you.

This event is FREE and for all the family. No need to book, just turn up on the day. It will be held in Whitworth Hall and the Manchester Museum from 11am until 4pm on Saturday, 21 October.

What our visitors said last year:

“It had it all: fun, factual learning, accessible education, hands-on experiences... and lots of rewards for the kids.”

“So much to see and do. Absolutely brilliant - couldn't drag the kids away.”
