Fire incident at The Paterson Building

Everyone safely evacuated following a fire at our institute for cancer research

Staff have been safely evacuated following a fire incident at The Paterson Building, which houses staff in The Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute and other researchers from the University and The Christie, this morning (Wednesday, 26 April).

A University spokesman said: “The fire service was called to an incident at The Paterson Building on Wilmslow Road at 10.36 this morning.  Everyone has been evacuated safely from the building and the University is supporting the emergency services in managing the incident.”
