Closure of pathway on Sackville Street

24 Jan 2017

Advance notice of temporary closure

Cycle route change

Due to ongoing construction works, a section of the Sackville Street pathway will be closed from Friday, 27 January to Wednesday, 8 February.

The closure of the pathway is needed to allow for the construction of a temporary tunnel that will ensure the safety of pedestrians and cyclists during the construction work on the Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre (GEIC).

This closure will be on the south side of the cycle and pedestrian lanes on Sackville Street, from just after the Pariser Building to the grass area which links the Main and North Campus. The footpath to the west of Sackville Street can still be used by pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
