14 Dec 2016

Manchester City Council has today (14 December) approved a report setting out the guiding principles for the future development of the University’s North Campus

This will now go forward to public consultation.

As reported in StaffNet last week - see North Campus future - the Strategic Regeneration Framework (SRF), commissioned by the Council and developed in partnership with the University, sets out in broad terms an approach to the development of the 11.8 hectare site once most of the buildings are vacated by the University in 2021 following completion of the £350m Manchester Engineering Campus Development (MECD).

Timescales for the consultation are to be confirmed, staff will be kept informed.
