The University's resident string quartet performs two imposing quartets in E flat: Weinberg’s breakthrough to full maturity with a work of classical symphonic proportions, and Beethoven’s return to quartet writing after a 14-year break, inaugurating the great series of what we now know as his ‘late’ quartets.
