Network storage unavailable during Saturday morning

Helping to prepare for our network storage upgrade

We're currently running a project to improve our network storage (P:Drive personal storage, shared areas and more) for our staff and students.

As part of this project, these services will be unavailable between 7am and 8am on Saturday 26 November, because we need to perform a restart of the system which provides them.

Please take these times into account when planning your work, and ensure you save your work before 7am on Saturday.

Technical information

  • P:Drives are usually accessed via the Desktop and Documents folders on University managed PCs, or via "My Documents" on My Manchester.
  • Shared areas are often known as G:Drive, S:Drive or similar, although many shared drives are stored on another unaffected service.
