Travel awards for students

16 Nov 2016

Do you know students who wish to travel as part of their course or during University vacations?

The University offers the following three travel awards annually for students wishing to travel, either as part of their course or during University vacations:

Travel Awards

Applications for 2016-17 will open in mid-November 2016 and close on Friday 17th March, 2017.  Students only need to apply to the one award that is most appropriate. The panel assessing the applications, will still consider an application for the other named awards, if they feel the travel plans better fit their criteria.

Zochonis Special Enterprise Fund

Awards from the Zochonis Special Enterprise Fund will be made to assist with the cost of a project or special study which demonstrates enterprise or originality of thought in planning and execution. Applications will be accepted from currently registered students only.  Individual and group applications will be considered.

H.E. David Scholarship

The purpose of the H.E. David Travelling Scholarship is to foster international understanding and goodwill by enabling students to travel and study in foreign countries.  Applications will be considered from currently registered students who have completed at least two years of study and from students who have graduated from the University, not more than three years previously. We can also accept group applications.

Pawel Koprowski Award

The purpose of the Pawel Koprowski Award is to support your vacation activity. It may be used for a purpose which will enhance your studies or for a holiday, as long as this does not include attendance on a course at another university. You can apply if you are currently registered as an undergraduate and have completed at least two years of study.
