Celebrating University Press Week with Manchester University Press

14 Nov 2016

This week is University Press Week 2016, when UPs from around the globe will coordinate a range of activities to celebrate the university press in the twenty-first century

University Press Week

Manchester University Press is proud to be part of this network of like-minded organizations, publishing some of the best and most relevant work today. The theme this year is ‘communities’ and over the week they’ll be participating in a number of events – both online or offline - that highlight the cause and values of university presses and their connection to this concept of ‘community’. Watch this space!

Founded in 1904, Manchester University Press is the third largest university press in England, and their distinctive brand is known globally for excellent research in the Humanities and Social Sciences from leading names and up-and-coming scholars around the world. They currently publish over 170 books each year, as well as seven journals.
