Closure of Chemistry Building Service Yard Entrance at Dover Street

Important announcement on closure

Please be advised that entrance to the Chemistry Building service yard accessed via Dover Street will be closed from Monday 7 November for a period of approximately 7 weeks to enable the installation of a new steam main.

Arrangements have been made for delivery vehicles to access the service yard from Brunswick Street via the Willmott Dixon site compound accessed from Upper Brook Street.

Disabled parking between Chemistry and Zochonis buildings is being maintained and access will again be via the Willmott Dixon site compound. 

Willmott Dixon and the University Car Parking Unit will have a banksmen/attendant on hand to assist in accessing the service yard and/or redirecting vehicles as necessary.

NB: This access will be available between 7am and 5pm Monday to Friday only.  

Should disabled parking be required outside these hours then it would be advisable to contact the Car Parking Unit to make alternative arrangements.

NB: There will be No Pedestrian or Cyclist access to Dover Street or  to Brunswick Street via the service yard for the duration of the works.

Pedestrians and Cyclists will be redirected to the access pathway between Williamson & Zochonis buildings

Full signage will be provided on the highway to direct vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians around the closure.

The Directorate of Estates & Facilities apologises for the inconvenience this will cause.
