Media Services temporary relocation

28 Oct 2016

Media Services' main offices and loan stores will be temporarily relocating from Humanities Bridgeford Street to the Ellen Wilkinson Building for approximately five months

The move is to allow refurbishment works taking place within the Humanities Bridgeford Street building.

The offices and loan stores will move on 16 November 2016 to Room C.16A on the third floor of the Ellen Wilkinson Building. The temporary location is highlighted on:

Whilst Media Services aim to keep disruption to a minimum during this time, there will be temporary alterations to some of the services and facilities they provide:

  • Access to the Media Production Team area, including the editing suites and TV studios, will still be via the entrance on the second floor of Humanities Bridgeford Street. A phone point will be in place at reception for visitors to contact production staff on their arrival.
  • Access to the Graphics Support Workshop will be via the stairwell towards the rear of Humanities Bridgeford Street and directional signage will be put in place at the main entrance. To contact the workshop, please call (0161 275) ext. 52545 or email gsw@manchester.ac.uk.
  • Equipment loan services and sale of consumables such as blank discs and memory sticks will continue to be offered from the temporary Ellen Wilkinson location although stocks of varied equipment will be slightly reduced.
  • The video conferencing suite within Humanities Bridgeford Street will unfortunately be unavailable during this period, however the suites in Roscoe and Renold can still be booked for conferences and a second suite is being added within Roscoe.
