Chancellor Lemn Sissay to give this year’s Doubleday Lecture

21 Oct 2016

Lemn will share his life experience and perspective on equality and diversity in health care on 30 November

Lemn Sissay

The Division of Medical Education is delighted to invite all staff and students to its Annual Doubleday Lecture which will take place on Wednesday 30 November in Lecture Theatre A, Roscoe Building.

Lemn’s keynote speech will include the reading of a new poem that he has written specially for this event.

Held in memory of Edwin Doubleday, a Manchester Medical School student who sadly died before completing his medical training, the lecture is a key event which promotes greater patient and public involvement in the training of doctors.

The Doubleday Centre works with carefully selected patient and public representatives and is now an integral part of our medical students’ education.

We expect that the demand for places will be high, so please register your attendance as soon as possible.
