Manchester Science Festival: bold, creative and thought-provoking events

This year marks the Festival's 10th birthday and the end of Manchester’s year-long role as European City of Science
Every October, the Festival creates a place for innovative, surprising and meaningful experiences, where people of all ages can ignite their curiosity in science. Their visitors are at the heart of everything they do, so the Festival team strives to keep the programme inclusive and accessible to everyone.
For 2016, programme highlights include Paris-based artists HeHe, who will deliver three original art installations that creatively explore the atmosphere around us, based at the Museum of Science and Industry.
The Chronarium Sleep Lab at Manchester Arndale will offer an immersive audiovisual environment exploring the role of public space in promoting health and wellbeing in the city. Meanwhile, Public Service Broadcasting will take your imagination on a space journey with a specially commissioned performance of their album The Race for Space at the beautiful Albert Hall.
The greatest strength of the Festival is its unique alliance of partners, who make it the north’s premier cultural celebration of all things related to science and innovation. Together, they have curated more than 150 experiences where you can explore, discover and create science with us.
