Manchester Museum - update on works to Quad elevation

Due to the unexpected below-ground conditions discovered whilst sinking a concrete shaft, the works have taken longer than expected
The bridge under the Queens Arch will therefore not now be removed until Wednesday, 1 June, allowing pedestrians to move between the Main Quad and Oxford Road via the arch on 2nd June. The works to return the Main Quad to normal use will commence following removal of the bridge.
A further update will be provided during the week commencing 6 June advising the exact date when the Quad will return to normal use, but at this point in time, it is expected that normal use will resume during the week commencing 13 June.
