Manchester After Hours 2016
10 May 2016
Create your own nocturnal journey on campus and around the city this Thursday (12 May)
Manchester After Hours 2016 – a one-night, city-wide social with venues including some of our much-loved cultural assets – is on Thursday, 12 May.
Featuring cultural mixology, odd couplings and exploration, it’s a chance for you to get into places and spaces not often open after hours and, with events clustered in different neighbourhoods, you can create your own nocturnal journey around the city.
The event, Manchester’s take on the national Museums at Night celebrations and programmed by Creative Tourist, includes a darts match at the Whitworth…yes, you read that right.
There’s also drawing sessions in the stunning setting of Manchester Museum’s Living Worlds gallery and Royal Northern College of Music artistes performing original compositions inspired by the Shakespeare collection at John Rylands Library.
