Print, copy and scan to any photocopier in the University

04 May 2016

Throughout May we will be replacing our Danwood photocopiers with more efficient, reliable and environmentally friendly multifunctional devices.

Old fashioned printing press

We will roll out the first of the new Xerox multifunctional machines from Monday 9 May.

You will be able to print, copy and scan to any Xerox machine within the University. The only change to the way you currently print and copy is that you will need to use your ID card or login with your username and password to collect your documents. But you can use any Xerox machine in any building at any time to collect your documents. And unlike the current printers, the new machines offer a secure and confidential service as nothing is physically printed out until you tap your card or log into the printer.

User guides will be located at each machine to give colleagues on the spot assistance. Local reps for each printer will receive on the day training when the new machine arrives and is installed. Further training for everyone will be available once all the printers are in place, details will be communicated during May.

Timetable of roll out

The new printers are being rolled out building by building:

Don’t worry, there are no changes to the existing personal and individual desktop printers – these will remain as they are now.

What you need to do

Once your machine has been replaced you will need to connect to the Xerox printer drivers.
