Updates to the eduroam wireless network

The organisation which issues eduroam certificates through the cat.eduroam.org website have today (Friday 26 February) updated the certificates.

There has not been an increase in eduroam related calls to the IT Support Centre since Friday morning, so at the moment, you do not need to download the certificate again. However, downloading a new certificate will not cause a problem.

We do not appear to have experienced many issues with eduroam today, so you don't need to do anything at the moment if your eduroam connection is working properly.

However, if you do experience issues connecting to eduroam, you can either use the UoM_WiFi network, or you can remove the eduroam profile and install a new one.

Please note: If you remove the eduroam network from your device, you will then need to connect to another network such as UoM_WiFi or your phone's data connection to download the new eduroam installed.

The organisation which issues eduroam certificates through the cat.eduroam.org website have today (Friday 26 February) updated the certificates, which means that some people might have difficulties connecting to eduroam.

If you're having problems connecting to eduroam, you can connect your device to the UoM_WiFi network as a temporary measure.

If you’re using Windows, OSX or iOS, you can clear the eduroam profile and set it up again. If you set up your Android device with the instructions on our website, this should not affect you.
