Give a child a cracking Easter

11 Feb 2016

Wood Street Mission Easter Egg Appeal 2016

Easter eggs

You have no doubt seen Easter eggs already in the shops so you know that Easter is already fast approaching.  Wood Street Mission is to help homeless and deprived families with the provision of Easter eggs for their children this Easter.

How can you help?

Wood Street Mission aims to give each child a couple of Easter Eggs (a mixture of small and large) so any donations would be greatly appreciated.

Please do not buy expensive Eggs as the charity does not host any raffles and it is hard to give one luxurious egg to one child then an ordinary egg to the next.

As in previous years, Wood Street Mission will distribute Easter Eggs to families before the Easter school holidays begin.  Easter falls early this year so the closing date for the receipt of Eater Eggs from the University is Friday, 18 March.  This is the day when the Wood Street Mission van will come to Sackville Street Campus (Stores) to collect them.

This year Wood Street Mission are only receiving Easter Eggs and are not asking for any food donations.

More information

Arrangements can be made for the collection of Easter eggs across the University if staff contact Muriel Shingler or Rose Underwood.
