Policy Week punters happier than ever

10 Feb 2016

Attendees at Manchester Policy Week 2015 were more satisfied than ever before with what they saw and heard, a new infographic reveals

Taking place over five days, with the theme of Science, Technology and Public Policy, it formed part of Manchester European City of Science 2016.

Highlights in the 32-event programme included a fascinating keynote from Lord David Willetts, the former Minister for Universities and Science, who also took part in a masterclass with PhD students. There were also audience-interactive debates on fracking and the devolution of energy generation, while Lucy Powell MP (Labour) took part in a fascinating session on the realities of getting evidence into policymaking, which included a Twitter Q&A.

Now the dust has settled and the policy@manchester team - which organises the event - has recovered, they have rounded up a wealth of resources from the week:

If you missed Policy Week 2015 and want to be the first to hear about future events and initiatives, you can sign up to receive the policy@manchester newsletter.

Policy@manchester is also keen to recruit more academic bloggers who can contribute to debates on topical policy issues. Please contact Katie Brewin (Katie.brewin@manchester.ac.uk) if you want to know more.
