Balls at the After School Science Club

05 Oct 2015

Finished school, but still excited about science? Come to a night of talks, demos, puzzles, hands-on exhibits – and an adult ball pit!

Finished school, but still excited about science? After School Science Club is a night of carefully curated science talks, table-to-table science demos and puzzles, and hands-on science exhibits, put together by mathematician Numberphile's Katie Steckles.

The event will take place in and around the JUMP IN! adult ball pool at the Museum of Science and Industry, and the theme of the evening will be balls - from talks about ocean bubbles, particle physics and mathematical spheres, to balls-themed decorations, snacks and even drinks.

We'll be joined by BBC Horizon's Helen Czerski, the Sky at Night's Andrew Pontzen, Blue Peter and YouTube science guy Greg Foot, Famelab finalist Nic Harrigan, and professor of andrology Allan Pacey, who between them will be providing the science. We'll also have a bar, thematic freebies, and some puzzles and competitions with prizes to win!

After School Science Club is on Friday 30 October, 6.30pm-9.30pm, at the Museum of Science and Industry. Tickets are £8.50, adults 18+ (bar).
