Bees and Butterflies Big Saturday at Manchester Museum

Plus Early Opening for Early Birds on Saturday, 26 September

Early Opening for Early Birds (9-10am)

Drop in, free, families with children under 5s and their older siblings.

Enjoy self-led tours, object handling and craft activities. (The Living Worlds and Nature Discovery galleries will be open from 9am – you can explore the rest of the Museum from 10am)

Big Saturday: Bees and Butterflies (11am-4pm)

Come along to find out more about Manchester Museum’s Rooftop beehive, meet Curators, enjoy a behind the scenes tour, discover more about some of the bees and butterflies in the Museum’s collections, and find out about their important work in pollinating plants. Create butterfly or bee wings to wear as you explore the galleries.

Behind the Scenes tour, 11am, sign up on the day, places limited, maximum 15 participants, ages 8 plus and parents/carers.
