Take amazing images of the night sky

Lovell Trails by Anthony Holloway

Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre is holding a beginners’ course in astrophotography, led by Dr Ant Holloway of Jodrell Bank Observatory, on Tuesday, 20 October.

You will have the opportunity to learn how to use your own digital single-lens reflex camera (DSLR) or Compact System Camera and get started in astrophotography.

We will look at how you can use equipment you may already own, such as a tripod, to capture the different images that the night sky offers; constellations, star trails and the colours of the stars.

In addition to this, we will look at additional equipment you can use to expand the range of images you can make.

Please bring a camera and, if you have one, a tripod. Pre-booking is required and tickets are non-refundable.
