University students on a fission mission at the Museum of Science and Industry

University students are on a fission mission at the Museum of Science and Industry on Saturday, 19 September.

The Next Generation Nuclear Centre for Doctoral Training students and several Sellafield Ltd-funded students have come together to showcase exciting activities for people of all ages to learn more about the wonders of nuclear science at their Pi-Platform for investigation event.

The event will involve everything from bananas and food blenders to train sets. You can learn about what nuclear power is, how we can use it, how radioactive you are and then address the big question of what we do with the waste.

The Pi-Platform for investigation event – which is a free drop-in event, no need to book – will be held at the Museum of Science and Industry on Saturday 19 September.
