Mentors sought for 1000 Girls, 1000 Futures program

22 Jul 2015

The Global STEM Alliance is recruiting female mentors who are dedicated to supporting the development of young women in STEM

Mentors in the program work with young women of high school age who are interested in STEM fields on developing their 21st century skills (focusing on leadership, communication, and critical thinking) and guide them through the college readiness component of the program, which offers a thorough overview of the college selection, application, and admissions process.

The program is all virtual, will run from September 2015 for one year, and offers a mentor training module and, of course, year-long support from the program team.

More mentor representation is wanted from tech fields, especially.
