HR Data Protection changes

In collaboration with the Data Protection team, the Directorate of Human Resources has recently introduced changes to improve awareness of the importance of data protection and confidentiality

The following documents should now be used:

  1. updated casual appointment letters;
  2. updated  IT Account Application Form – complete for non-employees working here who need access to IT facilities – such as agency staff, contractors, visiting staff, or individuals on work experience;
  3. new Guidance for Staff on the collection and processing of personal data – this explains what personal information we collect on staff and what we use it for;
  4. new Guidance for managers on the retention of staff records, this aims to ensure that we don’t keep personal and/or sensitive data about individuals for longer than is necessary.
